What Should I Read About: Race?

17 April 2008 5 Comments

It’s that time again, looks like this worked pretty well last week. I read some interesting articles about immigration and race, a Brennan Manning Video and some thoughts from McClaren on simplicity. Pretty interesting, but I’d like to hear more.
I figured maybe I’d do a themed one this time. If you’ve come across a well written or challenging blog post or new article or something on the topic of Race recently I’d love to see it. Just post it (and your name or the name of the article) below…

Daniels post from last week was great and I’d love to see your feedback on it too so go visit.

A friend pointed me to this book recently. I have read part way through, and found it challenging and interesting, and suspect that it will be many other things to many other people. This linked article is sort of a blurb from the author summarizing it.

    Aaron and Liza,

Thanks for the links. I’ll be taking a look. And probably getting that book when I get a chance.

Hey, I hope by “getting” you mean you will check out the book at a library - don’t put such a strain on our planet and put money in the pockets of big corporations by buying new!

    Aaron,

Oh don’t worry, I’m a huge support of the library and I extremely occasionally by a used book, but I barely ever by something new (except the book I just wrote myself, not quite popular enough for the library or used copies to exist).
